I accompanied a friend getting tattoos out of curiosity and was blow away! The team was so professional and friendly. I asked a million questions about tattoos and piercings and no matter how simple or complicated the question, their responses were informed and so helpful! Will definitely be returning to More than Hype for my first tattoo 😌

Best studio ever!
Me and some friends were visiting Capetown and spontaneously decided to get tattoos. I wrote the studio a message on instagram and got not only a response in an instant but also am appointment for three people the same day. We all had a different tattoo artists and each one of them tattoos just great. All of us were so happy with the result that we came back again for another round. The owner even called his piercing crew to come back so they can pierce us as well. They were also cool with staying a bit longer so they could tattoo all of us.
The team is really cool and fun and the whole vibe just great.

visiting cape town from florida, USA. decided to get a last minute tattoo/piercings and the staff at More Than Hype were More Than accommodating! i called 30 min till closing and they still took my friend and i i, no hesitation. the studio felt very welcoming and safe, with beautiful brick walls and art everywhere. my piercer was zoe, very knowledgeable and gentle. and my tattoo artist was larry, incredible talented and warm. he designed a beautiful protea piece on the spot. he tattooed my hip in a timely matter (had a flight that evening) with the cleanest lines. when all was done, the staff made sure we got into our uber safely and offered us soda 🙂 can’t wait to visit again!!
